My name is Phil but I prefer Sparhawke, or Spar.
I am 30 years old and havent really played chess in years and only then with my brother for a quick diversion but a few days ago Jagex brought out a new games site with chess on it to complement Runescape and I have got quite into it, though it lacks some of the options here I want to learn how better to thrash people or just better bounce around the table :p
My playing style is eclectic, I can be attacking, defensive, eccentric, crazy or just plain suicidal putting my queen into extreme danger just to flummox the other players and rattle them. I dont even know how I am going to play a move from one moment to the next so this way I have managed to beat entire boards with only 4-5 pieces quite a few times just to irritate them lol
On the other games site I am going for the lowest rating possible just because I am the only one doing it, I dont intend to be mediocre or forgetable and if being known as the worst ranked there will do it so be it lol
I dont play multiple games usually, I like to stick with 1-2 at a time, maybe 3 at a push, and I will probably be in these forums far more than actually playing anyway so I make my welcome 😀

I didn't know Jagex had a chess web site, can you give me the IP address?
It is not openly available yet until it is announced on the runescape site, but if you go to www.funorb.com you can join for free and have a game, there are some things that I am trying to get them to sort out, but it is quite entertaining, if you have any questions while in there I have a silver crown of a player mod next to my name 🙂
