I refer to a post below suggesting it might be a cookie problem.
If it is a cookie causing the problem this might help.
Close everything, log off internet and get back to the initial screen
that appears when you turn your computer on.
RIGHT click on the start button.
Left click on "explore".
Scroll to temporary internet files.
Click edit, then click on 'select all' - all the items in the big box on the
right should be now high lighted in blue.
now click on 'file' and then 'select all' then click on delete.
STEP TWO
scroll up to a line that says cookies and click on it.
in the box on the right all the cookies will appear.
you now click on each one individually and then hit delete - my
understanding is that you cannot delete 'en masse' as the first item is
an index item that cannot/shouldn't be deleted. all these cookies will
be sent to the recycle bib that you can then empty.
That should get rid of any cookies that mat be causing you a problem.

Thanks for explaining that for me , i woul dhave written it all myself ,
but i would have probably bored them to death before they actually
got to the cookies

hey, just a little windows help: if anyone has thousands of cookies
that you don't want to click each one, then hit 'delete' after each one,
try this....just click the first cookie you want to delete, then, leaving
that one selected, scroll over (in the right view-pane) till you see the
last cookie you want to delete...HOLDING DOWN THE SHIFT KEY, click
on the last cookie...all the cookies between the first one and the last
one should now be highlighted...now, press 'delete' and all the
highlighted ones will disappear
