This has been presented as an actual story from the Legal Times that happened last summer iirc but I think it may an urban legend
A lawyer purchased himself a 24 box of fancy, super expensive, rare cigars.Since they are so valuable,he insures them against a variety of mishaps and what not.
A few months later he files an insurance claim in which he claims the cigars were lost in a series of small fires. He is so smart this guy.The insurance company tells him to go fly a kite as they know he smoked them in a normal fashion.
He sues and wins! The judge cities some fine print in the policy where the type of fire is not clearly spelled out.He has insured against fire but nothing in the policy says anything about how a fire or what kind of fire occured.
Within 24 hours the insurance company has him arrested on 24 counts of arson. With his own testimony from the civil case he is easily convicted and sentenced to 24 one year terms π

a "spastic" is a deorgatory term for a mentally handicapped person in the UK, being stupid and actually being mentally handicapped are very different things.
