@ghost-of-a-duke saidVery Rusty is now going to know you said this.
I never mention a persons chess rating/ability, unless they have themselves tried to belittle the ability of somebody else.
@mchill saidYour suggestion didn't come from a good place. It's the same snideness you use in the SF.
Is it your place to make such suggestions? I've reviewed some of your past games and you're hardly Kasparov.
I don't know, does one need a rating of over 2000 in order to suggest spending more time on each move in order to obtain better results? I'd like to hear your suggestion. 🙂
@ghost-of-a-duke saidPull the other one.
I've said it to him directly here in the past. (And others).
@fmf saidWhy do things you haven't read mean they didn't happen?
Pull the other one.
I have challenged Rusty directly in the past (in this forum) about referencing people's chess ratings. (The last occasion being in relation to Dive's rating). It is not okay to belittle someone based on rating/ability on a site where we should be doing the exact opposite and genuinely encouraging development. It is poor chess etiquette and I have consistently said so during my time here.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidI didn't see it and I don't trust stuff you say on this kind of thing. It took you 30 thread pages, for example, of continuous back and forth where Very Rusty was mocking me over the death of close relatives before you finally confronted him in a vague mealy-mouthed way, such that he persisted with it and you didn't say anything again. You are loyal to a fault, perhaps. Very Rusty has been engaging in vacuous chess-ability banter for years, and over the last couple of years especially. At what point do you claim you "confronted" him? Did you do it just once?

@ghost-of-a-duke saidOne could ask you the same thing.

@fmf saidI'm sure Dive remembers, ask him.

End of the day, Rusty, like every one else, is free to ignore my stance on things which I have made crystal clear here on a number of occasions. Nobody is under my governance.
