yesterday i helped an elderly lady cross a busy main street in the city. she never said thank you, infact she never said any thing at all. she was a cumbersome lady all of her weight seemed to be resting on me. not once did she try to assist by putting more effort into walking, it turned out to be more of a drag. i say old is ungrateful. the other annoying thing is that all the time she just stared at me with her head back and eyes wide open, which i though was rude.

Maybe she was out of her mind, confused, lost, etc.

Or maybe she didn't want to cross the road.

Might have been that she was unable to speak, or was on medication and a bit out of it.... I would not state an opinion about all eldery people because one did that....

My friend feels that all old people should be killed at birth.

to be fair, when i eventually positioned her on the other side of the street she just slumped down against a post, her head flopped back and eyes gazed upto the sky.

Are you sure she was alive?

well, if you sqeeze her she emits a low groan. a bit like testing the ripeness of fruit. i'd say she is a bit mouldy. no good for the supermarket shelf among the carrots and potatoes, more for the left over stew. with suet dumplings.

Tell me... when you do things that you think are 'admirable to your character', do you also expect some kind of 'return'?

Let's face it dude, your helping a little old ladie across the street isn't going to be the deciding factor on whether you burn in Hell for eternity or go to heaven! Right?
