Here I sit, all forlorn,
Writing notes on Red Hot Pawn.

I'm waiting for a cpu,
To hurry up and do its due.
It has a nice and shiny twin,
And between them several disks do spin.

I glance across and see my view,
Outside the sky is blue and blue.
The air is warm, the trees look bright,
I'd love to leave before tonight.

Almost time to have a meeting,
Seems my glimpse of sky is fleeting.
Just got time to grab a cup,
Of coffee - there's a pick me up!

Here I sit, all forlorn,
Writing poems on Red Hot Pawn πŸ™‚

Pretty broad generalization Eddie - tell me how 'sitting at a computer all day' doesn't meet your idea of work?

I should also return your insult by saying that at least my post was original and supposedly entertaining, rather than yours which was derogatory and dull - but I really shouldn't post more rubbish, should I? πŸ˜‰

And it would be pretty difficult (although maybe worth the hassle) to be using my wife to further my sex life while sitting in my office at work at 2.30pm 😡

I do believe that your 'sentence' would qualify for rubbish indeed! It gave me a headache reading it. What's up with the attacks over a poem? 😠

very nice - it rings of the "hurry up & wait" side of my job.

Thanks - it was Phlabibit that set me off last week. I haven't written a poem since high school but I've rediscovered how fun it can be. I think there's kind of a logical process involved that suits my software engineers brain πŸ™‚

Excellent idea - you start! Hopefully the venerable Rhymester will grace us with a contribution too.
