Well, to be honest, from a Welsh point of view, im not too worried... we have been missnig some important players, the only thing that worried me is the sheer direness of our reserves.
I went to the pub just before the end of the 1st half vs S.Africa. I saw several infuriating instances of Wales blowing scoring positions into conceeding positions. The first was when I walked in, immediately Wales had a penalty, which was missed. They received the ball back from the attecmpt as it had crossed the goal line, and immediately before the end of the first phase gave away a penalty for holding on which could quite easily have been converted if Percy woulda had some place-kicking boots on that day... and it happened more times than I care to recall.
I will wait until they play Australia, which I believe they must win, and then I will be satified that it was just a blip. They just need to cut out the ridiculous penalties they gave away.
Originally posted by welsharnieTrue- you were missing six lions. And the All Blacks are in execptional form. The Boks played well under their normal level, though, and the ref gave the Welsh a hand in his ruling on the disallowed try, and the two yellows for the boks' 15. But the Welsh played with some passion, which was nice to see. Any chance of going back to playing the running rugby we saw emerging for the last couple of seasons? I hope so.

We were missing Drico, Foley, and O'Connell, and a couple of others. The Australians were very poor by their own standards, it has to be said. But we managed to scupper them by being alot worse.
On Saturday I don't think you'll be favourites going in. It'll be a good match, anyway.
Go on you Celts, anyway!

Thanks alot. Hope Ireland do well too. I will be visiting Ireland for the first time ever this year to see Ireland vs Wales with an Irish friend. Hopefully we will also see the junior 6N game the day before, as both teams seem to have some good youngsters coming through.
