As far as your chess, realize that f7 (f2 for white) is the weak spot for Black in the opening. When you lose games in 4-8-16 moves it often involves the f7 square + the enemy Queen. :'( The knight at f6 (white f3) is your best defender and if you get in a bind your Q can come to e7 to help out. But the good news is that these cheapo attacks can be easily handled with proper play.
