Not one of the very first but close. I was there when it was still evolving from a university project belonging to Chrismo and Russ (I wonder how many times he has posted patiently and diligently over the years), before they introduced subscriptions - I remember the first time they asked and people weren't sure if they wanted to pay or not but some of us were quite proud to help keep the site going. I remember when it went from being a project to a full time job.
Have seen a lot of people come and go. If you want a stroll down memory lane, go to the site announcements forum, keep hitting the last page till you're back at page 269.
