I was dirt poor left home at 17 and a half years old.

It would have been nice to have born into the Irving or McCain families I suppose.

Then in looking back, I wouldn't be able to say I did it on my own!

Ya come on VR, how'd ya make the fortune you have? Perhaps there was a hint in the "I was dirt poor". Maybe, just maybe it was farming? Started off helping a farmer then saved enough to buy a parcel of land, planted some...well odd looking weeds and just grew from there. Another farm and another and another etc. Now he's a land Baron (not "dirt" poor anymore). Am I close at all VR?

Did not involve farming, but not a bad guess.

I will tell you that land and real estate are very good investments.

Many moons ago I had a cleaning business, which did very well.

Start small and grow is the way to go! 😉

I was thinking of trying one of them out as a hobby, instead of wasting so much free time with the chess. ( You can never have too much money, and a lot of the time it takes money to make money)
