How is your rating graph, and what do you like most about it?

I play somewhat slow I guess, and I like the way my graph went right up to about 1400 using 'the old rules'. I was not subject to the new rating rules that made the graph rocket up, trickle down... and end up where it should after about 10 games or so.

Next my graph kind of moves from the low to high 1300's... and picks up some power after almost a year. There are no huge spikes, no huge dips. Just steady play in the mid to low 1400's.

With any luck, I will not have another spike... but will even out again in the mid 1400's or so over the next few months.

This is probably in the FAQs, but I am too lazy to hunt it down... When you win or lose a game, your rating changes according to the other player's rating. But afterward, when that player finishes additional games against other players and therefore his/her rating changes from what it was at the end of the game against you, does your own rating change yet again, even though you maybe have not finished any other games? Or is it only the instantaneous rating of the other player that counts?

it is the insantanious rating, just of what your opponents rating is when you play them.

my rating graph looks like the love child of Calvin and Don King in an earthquake.

Mine's like a fad...wound up big at first, then went downhill major time...only up every so often.

mine looks like what happens when you experiment with playing using various combinations of: too fast play, wine, sleep deprivation, dual TV watching, and occasional early morning sober focus.
my waterfall style slump was nothing to do with timeouts.
