If users could block other users' threads or posts, the whole forum system would dry up in a day.
The only posts that would see the light of day would be such banal, uninteresting crap that no-one would bother to read them.
The many members who post interesting, funny, meaningful stuff would simply not bother.
Moderators delete stuff that is really offensive (most of the time).
That's what they do.
If you have a serious complaint about a post, just click the "Alert Moderator" button that appears below every single post, then give them your reason why you find it so offensive.
So far, I have only done this once, and the offending thread was gone in minutes.
If you have a valid argument, the mods will listen.
If not, you'll just have to grin and bear it.
My advice is, if you don't like this guy's posts, just don't read them.
