***CAREFUL, SPOILER***

So. I just finished watching a movie, "Crush". Now don't get me wrong, I like Andie MacDowell, and the main male character was seriously cute, but the plot was just plain ridiculous.
Here it is. Andie MacDowell is headmistress (does anybody else here think that word is... well, perverted? Anyway, never mind...) at a school. She is at a funeral and kinda looks like Alannah Myles after a 5-year coma, and there's this gorgeous guy (http://i.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/imgs/020208/135824__crush_l.jpg) playing the piano or whatever it is. He's the kind of layabout, good for nothing-kind of guy women seem to fly to. Anyway, our headmistress here is 40-something, and the guy is 25 and recognizes her because she taught him English 10 years earlier. So, Miss MacDowell is standing there, quite frankly looking like something the cat dragged in, and she's staring at him because he's so friggin gorgeous. He says "Can I help you?", and the next thing you see, they are shagging on a gravestone.
How unrealistic is that???
Anyway. Obviously, she's in love, and suddenly she looks all beautiful and stuff. Her friends discourage her because he's a drug dealer and blah blah blah, but they're still gonna marry (... yeah, right....) and live happily ever after. Sadly, her friends are convinced he's an idiot, and one sets out to seduce him while the other captures it on video (nice friends...). Anyway, the guy says no, but unfortunately, it looks very much like they are fumbling around in the moment that (very obviously) our lead character chooses to walk in. She kicks him out of the house, he's run over by a truck and dies, she becomes very depressed... and pregnant. Well actually, she's just setting out to marry a different guy, but ditches him, only to realize she is pregnant by her teenage (and dead) loverboy.
Well obviously, there's all kind of reunion crap, and everybody goes out happy... but how unrealistic is this movie??? I think that was one of the worst movies (plot-wise) I've ever seen. Shame they wasted such good actors on it 😕
Anybody else with an opinion seen it?

Not all that unrealistic. I just wish my story had a happy ending like that...... guy getting run over....life would be so much more pleasant.
