Most of us have experienced this. When we're very young, days seem to last an eternity, as we get older, our days seem to go by faster with each passing decade. Why? Is it because we're busier?

it's because as you get older each day is a smaller percentage of your total number of days lived
hence they seem to pass faster

You are not alone everyone feels that way. I remember my father once telling me don't try and wish time away it will go fast enough, someday you'll be wondering where it went. Well that day is here!

The experience of time is not linear. I remember somebody demonstrating the difference between two people's memories of a one hour conversation. The moments that each person will recall as the majority of the hour may be completely different within the two accounts.

I also think days seem to go faster when you lose the stamina to get as much done in the day (I must be feeling old).

I try to cram in as many things as I can while I have the energy then get frustrated at how quickly each hour can pass. Then I run out of steam and need a 1-2 hour nap.

Carpe diem - Seize the day.

We don't have to do much, just the right things.

When it is getting too late for me to do anything, I will not want to remember all the things I did but those I enjoyed doing.

Three days minimum to do what was once a day's work in the garden. Muscle aches the day after painting the porch as if I had been weight training. Am I losing stamina through time spent on RHP??? I honestly think it's the other way round and I need the breaks. I guess I would say that though. 😁

You make a lot of references to regrets of past experiences/decisions a lot 🤔

I do...? When you get older, regrets are still with you, but slowly we forgive ourselves. Happy moments mix with unhappy moments - it's life.
