Biggee question... Why do some people's children choose to troll as an alternative to regular conversation? Hair across their ar$e or what?

First thing is, mate, to create a lot of stupid posts which end up annoying everybody.

Be sure to place yourself on the high moral ground, and claim to fight for integrity in internet forum posting.

Last but not least, type two lines, then leave a space, then type other two lines. Just for the sake of breaking people's nerves.

It is all left up to interpretation of the Moderators looking after the forum/chatroom, if someone is a troll. Now this may change from Moderator to Moderator. They as a rule will try to go with common sense, providing they have common sense to begin with.

Friendships, can also rule on who is and who is not a troll, or has been my experience in forums and Chatrooms on the internet, but not all, there are those who do have a firm policy and guidelines, on what is acceptable and what is not.

Usually in a forum where goading is allowed, and I am not saying there is anything wrong with that, as long as it is kept to that forum. But this is rarely the case, as it usually will spill over into the other forums, and take on a mean spirited atmosphere.

My comments in no way are meant to be an example of RHP or its mostly fine Moderators. Just things I have noticed, in various chatroom/forum/gamesites, in my travels on the internet since 1997 or so.

Your comments make sense, Rusty, but your post lets the question go begging. Why do trolls choose to troll? What's their motivation?

I have no idea on the motivation, and I suppose it is different for each personality.

The point I am making is they are not a troll unless the Moderator of a site say they are a troll. (Then you have to take into consideration, that it is the interpretation of that particular Mod) So I would take that with a grain of salt, if you will.

When You look at the definition of what a troll is, at one time or another every single person who posts, could be considered a troll. (That includes the Mod) Sorry guys, that is also TRUE!

I like to call them good trolls, and bad trolls. Sometimes, I have been known to point a finger at my interpretation of the bad trolls. πŸ™‚

lack of the ability to communicate with a purpose, lack of the ability to play well with others, lack of social skills, lack of intelligence, and of course a narcissitic view of "look at me! look at me!"

does that about sum it up?

Yes. Sort of the sublimation and mildly anti-social behavior of children who refused to share their sandbox toys and play nice with other children?

more like the kids whose parents would not let them play in the sandbox for fear the cat would come and cover them up.

Tidied up.

In an internet website?

Why don't you go and find a woman to make love to?

Or are you just too ugly, hurt, and shy?

You're a little idiot, did you know that?

Always have had compassion for those who are unable to hide from their self induced miseries, who hate out of envy and jealousy, who

persist in attacking other human beings whose mere presence seems to threaten them and who sublimate all day long within the narrow

corridor of their orificial fixations and joystick mentality. Well pleased with the lady in my profile photo. Hardly a little idiot at 6', 215 lbs.
