By 11am the next day, it had apologised to the Armenian team leader, who also happens to be the country’s defence minister.

Oops.

We also now know she likes "gravity" and "the odd cuban cigar". How exciting.

This girl is fascinating. Her thoughts on a topic such as...war:

Protestors waste a lot of time. Human greed is insatiable. Expect it.

She should join the Spirituality forum, she would fit right in:

Religion:

Bogus. Hocus Pocus! Religion is doing things to win favour with God. That is ridiculous, as all religion is. Our measly acts of "being good" count for nothing.

Christianity:

Religion is not Christianity. Christianity cannot be confused with religion as Christ came to set us free from religion.

This guy is really such a loser:

From the BCM:

the facts appear to be as follows: annoyed that a young lady player (Arianne Caioli of Australia) preferred to dance with Levon Aronian of Armenia, Gormally landed a punch on the world number three. Thankfully the blow did not do any real damage but the Armenian delegation was understandably incensed that their top board should be treated in this way. To keep the peace, the English delegation decided that Gormally would have to be sent back home immediately.

Presumably to be grounded.

During the tournament:

When the entire hall rose for a minute's silence as a mark of respect for the victims of the Indonesian earthquake, England's fourth board remained slouched in his chair. Suffice it to say that he lost miserably.
