I'd like to apologize for the thread I made about women being spanked on film. Intended the thread to be a discussion about sexism in 40's and 50's, but the way it was presented was immature and completely lacked any tact and sensitivity regarding the matter.
I had just seen that clip on YouTube when I posted it so I was blown away that such extreme sexism was so frequent in U.S. media. Consequently, the way I posted the clip was immature and reeked of douchebaggery. I'm sorry for that. There is a way to discuss such a topic in adult manner; the way I presented it wasn't that at all.
I'm gonna withdraw from these forums, but I also regret the arguments that thread caused. Russ has been actively trying to improve the quality of posts at RHP by introducing new measures to make sure they devolve into negativity.
Happy posting, folks.
@vivify saidAll that sounds like to me is feeling sorry because you messed up.

Don't be a quitter, learn by your mistakes and move on.
You even said yourself you should have given it more thought in so many words not in those words.
We all mess up at one time or another some of us, ok me, more than others.

The immaturity that resulted in posts afterward are not your fault. No need to beat yourself up for that.
We all have posting regrets here. We're human. We all have moments of weakness and thus learn to do better in future.
Stay the course.
Cheers!
@woofwoof saidRegrets......I've had a few, but far too few to mention! 🙂

@the-gravedigger saidYou make mine and you're in the top 3!!! 😛 😉
Chill out vivify.
You don't even make my top ten list of douchebags on here.

@vivify saidNo worse than any other thread, it caused some commotion which resulted in some posts, that's all.

@vivify saidI consider you still welcome here. I took your OP the way you intended. It was surprising how many examples were included in the YouTube video. Previously I had only seen one instance in a John Wayne movie with Maureen O'Hara.

Anyway, if you still feel you made such a mistake that you need to withdraw from the forums, an important life skill to learn is how to survive a self-embarrassment and continue to participate in society (although becoming a hermit is also a valid option).
RE: "Russ has been actively trying to improve the quality of posts at RHP by introducing new measures to make sure they devolve into negativity."
😲 I'll just assume you left out a word unintentionally. 😉
@kevin-eleven saidSometimes best not to assume anything.
