Disaster....i couldn'tve forseen it, but probably read up a bit to prepare if i was that kinda guy .
Apparently, if i want to install my OS, i need to buy a floppy drive in order to install the drivers for the SATA cable driven hardfiles.....Most high end Motherboards come with the disc, but isn't it ironic that to use my high end motherboard, i have to purchase a largely obsolete piece of equipment.
Time to befriend someone from the IT department, see if i can get a loaner 😛
Originally posted by MontyMooseI'm waiting on IT to get back to me, but the guy said i could burn the drivers to disk (they also come on the motherboard drivers CD), and install them that way.......
Sounds like it's time for a little after-Christmas shoplifting!
Does anyone know if they can be installed before the OS system ( otherwise i need 2 DVD-ROM/RW drives 😛 ?
