When I started, back in ought-four, it was a much different landscape here. People were much more friendly in General, although I can't really recall a time when I could be described as "friendly" myself. It was in Debates where things were out of hand. Drunks, racists, poop-disturbers, born again christians, and all other kinds would fight each other in the political or spiritual realm, not for the sake of cheap laughs (there was always RBHill for that). The Forum Wars of 2004 had a literal us against them mentality, and sadly I see that starting to repeat itself here, albeit without a premise this time. Although there is still a sense of division in the debates and spirituality ex debates forums, General is where all the forum wars take place. A different landscape, a different kind of warfare.
