I have noticed that we are all spending alot of time fighting in the forums. I have stayed away of late in silent protest. People used to have a battle of wits, wich is always fun for all. Now people are violent and abusive. There is name calling and accusations.
I would just like to say that it is all very dissapointing, especially for the more seasoned members of this site, who should be setting an example. If this keeps up, this site will start to attract more of the same. (birds of a feather). When that day comes I will be gone, as I am sure others that feel the same will be. I joined this community because I liked it and felt that I fit in. Now I am not so sure of it.

I was really tempted to post something sarcastic about how we all need to be me sensitive and kind and lets all have a group hug, and get in touch with our feminine side, etc. etc. But that would be rude and someone might think I was being passive aggressive and that might lead to being violent and abusive .
We wouldn't want that now would we.
Peace. 🙂

I think it is important to remember that the forums are just part of RHP, they were designed to build a sense of community to get people to come to the site more and build an bond with it. I think some people are putting too much importance on the forums and their own self importance in them.
Why some people seem to want to "dominate" the boards I do not know, maybe it makes up for other inadequacies in life, but hey, you do not need to force your opinions on everyone all the time. Everything is not black or white, there are different interpretations out there of whats going on in the world.

Good post. I joined recently, but am definately am not here to argue. If it's any comfort, I'll put you on the "nice" list. The rest of you better watch yourselves or you'll all get coal for christmas!!

Originally posted by rapalla7We all have to take some things with a grain of salt. I am guilty of slinging crap on the forums, but I've never slung it where I didn't think it was deserved. There are boors on the forums, but just simply ignore them and they will go away. Adding gasoline to the fire...well, we know what happens....but we must defend ourselves if we feel put upon...at least I feel that I do. But the forums mirror society in general: a mass of humanity hell bent on looking out for nunber 1 and willing to go to any level to achieve their goal regardless of hurt feelings....sad, but true. 😞

Coal may be good luck, but it saves my elves alot of work. Have fun trying to play with it! I'm not making light of this forum, but demonstrating what we should all be doing- having fun!! Therefore, I'll have Rudolph excercise the team twice a day since all that coal is going to be heavy.

P.S. Hey Coastie, Go Navy!

In all my years on the internet, this is one of the friendliest and tamest of forums. Many I have posted to, people are scared to post for fear of being flamed! 😲
Maybe chess attracts those of a more contemplative disposition. 😏
