I bought my computer a year ago (almost exactly) and it's better than that. As you bought an alienware computer you also likely paid a similar price to what I did and got a computer with an ugly paintjob to boot.
Originally posted by zakkwylderYour computer cost nearly US$3000. You could have bought it from powernotebooks.com for just over $2000 without the ugly case. It's the same computer all alienware does is paint it funny colours and add lumpy bits.
I will keep telling myself that with extreme comfort at that. What's more, I lack the patience and mental prowess to build computers, I just use them.
Originally posted by XanthosNZI have the money, what the heck do I care. Besides, ugly is all in the eye of the beholder. As I've allready mentioned, I don't mind the blue case. I even like it.

Kind of like putting a two year old on a chopper.
Anyway, the price seems a little too high. Even up here, You can get something like that for $2500. An outlet in the city allows custom computers that almost double your specs for about $5000.
Remeber to check and see if the latest microsoft update is there. SP2 alone won't cut it. You need the KB912919-x86-ENU update.

Just about the only thing I'd swap out on there is the video card for an ATI Radeon (just because I'm a fan, and they seem to have much fewer conflicts/bugs than GeForce). But hey, a 256 card should run WOW like a champ. The 2g ram doesn't hurt either. 😉
Congrats on the system, and again, kudos for your excellent taste. 😀
P.S. What server you play on? 😉
