Tim keep this a secret just between you and I. To reach the top 20
MAP, Forget your rating, forget about sleep or days off. God forbid you
have a computer failure or an illness. Move fast and frequent, make a
lot of blunders and start at least three open invites a day. You'll be
surprised who you get to play that way. :-)

I'm afraid I don't have what it takes to make it into the elite of MAP!
I have already risked my job more than once by being caught by my
boss making moves at work-- although I think he's somehow
impressed by the fact that I play chess. If he had caught me at some
less "appropriate" websites, that would have been a different story!

Tim, Sounds like a great idea. Make him/her think you are smarter
than he thinks you are.

Well, the funny thing is, I AM a lot smarter than he thinks I am.
Actually, it would be more accurate to say that I am smarter than he
is, and he knows it, and he doesn't like it. He has a lot of "street"
smarts, and he is damn good at working with the difficult kids we work
with-- but when it comes to anything but sports, he's not too bright.

He always wants to know if I could beat the blitz players in New York
City that he saw once while on vacation. I should tell him that blitz
doesn't give mne the time to take a look at MCO for the first several
moves-- I guarantee, he wil pretend to know what I am talking about!
And then he will change the subject to HIS favorite topic-- GOLF!

Get a load of this. While I haven't gotten in trouble for playing chess
at work, though my paranoia sees some raised eyebrows, one in
encouraged to play solitaire to develop practice in using a mouse.

When I first developed this site, a chess craze swept though my office
at work - people who had not played chess since they were children all
started challenging each other.

RHP was soon banned in my work place. [a number of people were
caught] 🙂

So, I think we need a 'boss' mode for the whole site where moves can
be made on something that resembles an excel spreadsheet. Then
watch your productivity drop at work… lol!
[I'm half serious too]

Be careful! Are you sure there aren't any bosses in RHP? They might
spoil the whole idea!

Russ, how about an icon one could click on to have the screen change
to something that looks like "work." I know there is software that can
do it, but it would be great to have it say where "find a player" is.
Nobody cares about that one. Reverend Kirk, who forgot about "thou
shall not bear false witness."

Now that was funny!! Yeah...I like that idea...man...what a way to
cheat the system.

But don't take away the find player deal...hell that is how I found out
about "three figs"...just cause I never clicked on it before.

So make a new one...say Player Escape or something.
