I respect the fact that you state what you think. I see you have an
impressive 5-0 record. I have less than a 48% win ratio. Should I
think that you are using a program? I wont. I'll think that you are just
a good chess player. Give me proof otherwise and then I may change
what I think.

You win less than 48% because you are a weak chess player. I don't
use a program to help me during a game, and I don't even look up
openings during the game (which I understand IS allowed. I do,
however, run my games through my Fritz 7 after they are over and
see what the machine thinks of my games, just like I do with my
tournament games. I realize that this admission of ownership of a
strong chess engine (being run on a 1.6 Ghz, 384 MB ram) AND I own
a MCO 13 opening manual, will probably attract accusations, but
anyone with an iota of intelligence and chess knowledge can look
through my games and they will clearly see the hallmarks of human
error (I have had lost positions and required poor play by my
opponents to turn them around). I have run many of Oppositions
games through my Fritz analysis engine as well and interestingly
enough he never blunders!! Even a strong chess engine doesn't
always make the best move, but they never blunder. His tactics are
flawless, yet his strategic game does not parallel this. I believe
beyond any shadow of a doubt that he is consulting a program to help
him make his moves.
First off John is not a "weak" chessplayer. And you should be
ashamed of yourself to go there. That was a pretty crappy
comment...and not a good way to make friends out here you being
new. Secondly I know how it feels to be called a cheater due to my
library...but that is not cheating. I have already posted about this
citing the rules from USCF.
Thirdly..I am happy you have Fritz 7...I am looking at purchasing
myself ( can't decide between it and Hiarcs) for just the same reason
as you stated..analysing my games AFTERWORD.
Maybe you should just play him and see how he moves against
you...but please quit with the accusations...we are all tired of them.

We are all tired of your arrogant "know it all" posture that you assume
Dave. If RedHotPawn had a "most active blabbermouth" list, you
would top the charts for sure. You talk about chess (and all matters
basically) as though you are the supreme authority and arbitor. And I
haven't heard anything from you that would convince me that you are
an authority on anything! As far as chess goes, you claim to want to
play a chess game with xenophobe (or baron, I can't remember
which), and I don't see any games happening. Why don't you put
your money where your mouth is for a change!
Unfortunately I had to resign, but he was very educational in my game
and seems to be a way stronger player than I.
As far as saying that "we are all tired of your arrogant know it all
posture", I can only assume that you have a huge problem with the
guy. Could it be a limelight thing? What is your personal interest in
the game with BM or Xeno? What is it that makes you think of him as
a blabbermouth? I have seen Schliemann get attacked in the past,
and I often wondered why. It's not like other active members of this
site get the same revered affection. Just wondering if you had some
unresolved issues?

else ails you. This is a chess forum, not a Kindergarten room.
I post alot yes...but I do not attack people as you have...as for my
thinking I am a "chess authority" I am not...I just happen to be pretty
good and have learned alot over the years from alot of hard studying,
determination, and playing...as well as some advice from the many
GM's, IM's, FM's, and NM's as well as others that I have had the
wonderful opportunity to meet.
I will put my money up when I finish the games with fernando and
Boby. They will just have to wait.

I personally dont understand anyone bad mouthing Dave.
I dont personally know him nor have i played him but i have read his
observations etc. in here and observed some of his games and i have
found him to be a true sportsman and fair in his judgement.
So anybody coming in here and complaining about him for whatever
reason their feeble mind comes up with is totally uncalled for.

I've been here for months, writing post after inane post in these
forums as RHPs Most Arrogant Know It All (MAKIA)!
That title is mine. I don't think it wise for an upstart newcomer such
as yourself, with few games and fewer posts under your belt, to waltz
in here and announce that Schliemann is MAKIA. Leave Schliemann
out of this;he plays fine chess, and has opinions in the forums, but as
for his arrogance rating, he's no contender.
Now you. You have the glimmerings of a a decent AKIA, but you need
lots of work on your style if you want to ever become a top contender.
As one of the Living Gods of Arrogance, I will give you some advice. A
True Arroganteer would never have to resort to the weakness
of "speaking for others". Remember, to the Arrogant, the opinions of
others don't matter. Also, you would not have to stoop to insulting a
player, such as vaknso. Since everyone else is weak when compared
to the MAKIA, it is unseemly and boorish to mention such things. As a
MAKIA, you would instead offer help and advice, being arrogantly
confident in your ability to do so.
Finally a true MAKIA wouldn't obsess about another player, such as
you have done with Opposition. Instead, as a MAKIA, you would
assume everyone was downloading and studying YOUR games!
I've seen it before kid. Someone like you wants to become MAKIA, but
just ends up sounding like an embittered whiner. Makes me sad to
see it happen, I'd enjoy a little company up here.
