Interesting that it disappeared earlier in Norway than in Australia. It was fascinating to see it happen. It first turned red, then it started to blink, and then it was suddenly gone.

The post was probably hovering over Poland - that's where my profile location was until recently and it may have taken a while for the vapour trail of posts to clear up.

If you take into account the relatively slow speed that light travels through a post, that could well explain the time difference. Poland's a lot closer to Norway. So you would have seen it disappear a few post-light-minutes before I did.
