Hello chaps.
Anyone played one of these (or actually bought one) because I'm thinking about getting it.
I've seen one for £449 here:
http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/ibanez-js-100/1162
I understand the stock Ibanez pickups are average to say the least & should be replaced with DiMarzio ones, but I am happy to cross that bridge when I get to it.
Any info appreciated.
🙂

The pick-ups are humbucker style, they're not bad, at least they're not single coil Fender cheapos that cause a ground hum (here its a 60 cycle ground hum). England might be 50 cycles like Europe, I don't know. The locking tremolo is one of the things you're paying for with this axe. If tremolo use is not your style, you might consider a guitar without that. It would really lower your price.

I just think that after a break of a few years the JS might be easier to get to grips with. Some of the stuff I like requires a trem.
I do have fairly big hands & fat fingers though!

Just got a lashed up strat form ebay with a set of Sensors on and they kick out some dirt, dude. Dog's doodahs!

The thing about the pickups is that the JS-1000 is about £1000 but the key difference is that it uses DiMarzio Joe & Fred pickups, which I can stick into my JS-100 for about £130.
So I get a guitar that plays & sounds just like a JS-1000 for 1/2 the price.
In theory.
