I'm thinking about purchasing a macbook (edit: not an ibook, whoops) to be the workstation for my home music studio. I'm planning on getting an interface with xlr ports and doing some live, simulteneous, multitrack recording. Does the Firewire speed affect transfer to this unit? The laptop I'm thinking about is 2.2 GHz (800 FSB), 2GB RAM with one firewire 400 Mps port- just curious if anyone has any experience recording on a macbook and if these specs are going to be sufficient.
