Hu-um. Psst. It's norwegian actually. Began as a project of Telenor back in the mid nineties. 😕

But it's a good one. I like it. Still use ff though. How could I possibly be accused of using anything norwegian? 😉
I stand corrected
"Opera started out as a research project in Norway's largest telecom company, Telenor, in 1994, and branched out into an independent development company named Opera Software ASA in 1995. Opera Software develops the Opera Web browser, a high-quality, multi-platform product for a wide range of platforms, operating systems and embedded Internet products"

Strange how very many neighboring countries have this deep suspicion of one another when distant outsiders couldn't even distinguish between them in full sunlight.

We're not actually "suspicious" of each other. It's a thing between norwegians and swedes. We tell jokes about each other in a humorous, friendly way. Same with swedes and fins. Only a few actually take it seriously.

The truth is, that this whole dividing the world into countries is a stupid thing to me. Even stranger is the idea that people living within certain borders are supposed to be this way, while people living within other borders are supposed to be different. A rather quaint idea, wouldn't you agree?

Why is it I have to find myself agreeing with you way to often? Hummm.😕
Yet I do think that diversity is good to a point. What is right in one area might not work in some other area.

"Hoover" (which originally is a brand) is the British word for "vacuum cleaner". A hoover doesn't hover.

What? Are you saying that it's not true that all Swedes are completely stupid?? 😉

It seems that all (?) countries have either a neighbour country or a region in their own country to make fun of. In Germany, we make fun of the East Frisians (East Friesland is a region in Northern Germany), in France, they make fun of the Belgians, etc.

Remember way back? That music video? When I said the camera would hoover over the set. You made fun of me, and I had a flashback when I saw your post. 🙁

Glad to hear you'd forgotten about that. 🙂

Oh, and a hoover could hover. All that's really required is a big fan below the hoover to lift it off the ground. Of course, that fan would blow all the dust everywhere but into the hoover, but it'd still be a hovering hoover. 😀

Right? 😕

In Iran they make fun of turkish people. Irish of english. Americans of everyone else. Yea, you're right. This sort of thing goes on everywhere. 🙂
