@divegeestersaid What would they be most surprised at?
Aside from the advances in technology, they'd be surprised and saddened that people are still fighting with each other. By the way, I'm an alumnus of the 50s and it wasn't always a bed of roses.

@sonhousesaid @HandyAndy They would go 'we put men on the moon FIFTY YEARS AGO?
And we have not gone back? What's up with that?
There are those who wonder if it ever really happened.
People also ask
How many moon landings are there?
The United States would go on to complete six crewed missions to the moon that landed a total of 12 astronauts (all men) from 1969 to 1972 in a series of Apollo missions numbering up to Apollo 17

The posts here vary, so one question to clarify would be: Where does the person land and are you interested in first impressions or questions after having been brought up to date informationwise?
@Very-Rusty Well those idiots will have a limited lifespan when people go back to the moon and get to the 6 sites we landed at and image for the world to see, all the human footprints and such, to say nothing of the retroreflector placed there by hand to make sure lasers from Earth could hit it and reflect a few photons back to astronomers allowing them to measure the distance to the moon in terms of centimeters instead of kilometers. They used that device to prove the moon is receding from Earth a few centimeters a year. No robot could have placed that reflector correctly considering the poor state of the art of robotics in 1970.
But mere facts won't phase the nutters a bit.
I imagine even when folks get back to the landing sites and have it on live TV not the poor images we had from that era, they will just go FAKE NEWS since to say otherwise would cut into their book sales.
