I've had a few players on ignore, but usually only for a day or so. I'd much prefer someone to tell me off in private.
Odd thing is, I have found without exception, all the players here to be decent people in private. One other site I also rate as excellent, but I can't remember the name of it offhand. 😉 I think this speaks volumes for chess players as a people. We're thinkers, we don't all think the same, not do we all get along, but I do think this site seems to have the most good people I've ever met online.

What I don't like about the PM's is that someone can send you a note giving you a piece of their mind, then put you on iggy (ignore) so you can't answer their PM.
I see this as being cowardly, of course that is my own personal opinion, I am sure others have their opinion. Everyone has an opinion. 😉
