I've spent almost 15 min. on hold so far. I think they want some money that I already sent them, and they already cashed the check. However I just got a bill from them for the same amount I sent them a month ago. I wonder if its illegal to send them post dated checks to put them on hold?
"Your call is very important to us...yada, yada". I was put on hold once by a credit card company and like you waited for them to talk to me. I turned on my favourite radio staion and place the receiver by the radio. evry once in a while I'd go back to the phone only to find that I was still on hold. Eventually I heard a "Hello, hello" and picked it up. The guy said that was the first time anything like that had happened to him and he called over some of his coworkers to hear and they all had a good laugh. I got the credit increase I'd called a bout. Good luck with yours but remember it is the IRS and unlike credit card companies who want your business, you're a thorn in their (IRS) side.😀
