i think you should all know that in some regions of the northwest (UK) muffins are actually baps(breadrolls/barmcakes) that us northeners eat with chips(fries) in. Hence the name chip muffin. is this sacrilege?

Ok , I got that . But here's what I want to know : I know what a "cupcake" is . I know how these two words became one , (cup and cake) . I know what a cup is , I know what a cake is . WTF is a "barm" ?

Are you kidding? They don't sell bagels where you are at? In our fairly large (5000 employee) company, every Friday they deliver a ton of bagels, with cream cheese and pastries....there is always leftovers.

I am not a big fan of them personally. They are boring.
