@Martin saidI don't know the answer to that, but it could also be that one or more people had reported the player in question.
I received a message from an opponent and at the top was a big red banner saying "warning, this message could be from a scammer"
Does RHP monitor in-game messages?
@Arkturos saidI wouldn't have thought so; he is decent chap and we have chatted for months.

In the message concerned the term "send money" was used referring to DHL 20 years ago.
I sent him a message with "send money" in it and he didn't get a warning so very curious.
@Martin
Of course only Russ could answer your OP, but a few years ago regarding a different matter he told me that he doesn't have access to members' out-of-game private messages, so any reports of PM misbehavior might require some copy-pasting by the complainant.
@rookie54 saidWhat on earth does your post have anything to do with my comment about a scamming warning?
3-4 days ago a user with a highly numeric nom de plume and a whole two games under their belt started a game with me with an opening chat of, "how are you today?"
i typed nothing in return as i made my first move
that game was promptly deleted
it's true, i need a shower
@Martin saidMight have been objective reportage, or an attempt to mock, with the general result that he might have embarrassed a self that he doesn't believe exists.

Well, maybe he's kind of random like that.

Our telcos are doing a lot of this kind of stuff, trying to outsmart the crooks. Ours is about 75% right, the AI works on probability and traffic volume and all sorts of other stuff you don't know about. Your poster probably didn't do anything wrong.
Going back to my original question - is RHP monitoring in-game messages?
If so, why was a message from my opponent flagged in red as a possible scam yet when I replied using "send money" he did not get the red banner scam warning.
Let's try and ask Russ
@Russ
@Martin saidIf there is any monitoring going on then it'll most likely be automated - in the same way some key words trigger auto-mod.
Thank you Kewpie

If you want a definitive answer though, send feedback. I doubt Russ reads through all posts
@Martin said'Send money' is likely to have triggered the automated warning (which is a good thing, despite the occasional false alarm). Perhaps this warning is only triggered once per chat box, which is why you haven't been able to recreate it there. (But I'm guessing).
