Try not to take off any fingers with small explosives...and please
refrain children from shoving them up a cat's butt...as I got to witness
this just a short while ago. Poor cat...mean little buggers.
Of course Dave talked to these kids parents...horrific scene and hated
to share it with you all...but I guess it might be a trend...they said all
their friends were doing it. So please watch the cats!!

Here in Boston, it is well over 90 degrees F, with very high humidity,
the crowds at the fireworks are beyond huge (and, this year, will be
subject to some pretty strict security measures...), so me and my cat
are doing the smart thing and staying right here. I will be spending
the day throwing things away, as I prepare to move on Aug. 1.
Sounds like fun, doesn't it? Oh, and I imagine I'll check this site from
time to time...
In all seriousness-- to all the Americans here, take a little time today
to reflect on what is great about this country. And take some time to
think about all that is WRONG with it, as well. Take a minute to
mourn those who died on Sept. 11-- then take a minute to mourn all
those who have died so far at the receiving end of our "war on
terrorism"-- mostly the ones who were NOT terrorists, but just
happened to live in the wrong country at the wrong time.
I'll get off the soapbox now.
