"Brian Wilson"

Drove downtown in the rain nine-thirty on a Tuesday night,
just to check out the late-night record shop.
Call it impulsive, call it compulsive, call it insane;
but when I'm surrounded I just can't stop.

It's a matter of instinct, it's a matter of conditioning,
It's a matter of fact.
You can call me Pavlov's dog
Ring a bell and I'll salivate- how'd you like that?
Dr. Landy tell me you're not just a pedagogue,
cause right now I'm

[Chorus]
Lying in bed just like Brian Wilson did
Well I'm lying in bed just like Brian Wilson did.

So I'm lying here, just staring at the ceiling tiles.
and I'm thinking about what to think about.
Just listening and relistening to Smiley Smile,
and I'm wondering if this is some kind of creative drought
because I am

[Chorus]

And if you want to find me I'll be out in the sandbox,
wondering where the hell all the love has gone.
Playing my guitar and building castles in the sun,
and singing "Fun, Fun, Fun."

[Chorus]

I had a dream that I was three hundred pounds
and though I was very heavy,
I floated 'til I couldn't see the ground
I floated 'til I couldn't see the ground
Somebody help me, I couldn't see the ground
Somebody help me, I couldn't see the ground
Somebody help me because I'm

[Chorus]

Drove downtown in the rain nine-thirty on a Tuesday night.
Just to check out the late-night record shop.
Call it impulsive, call it compulsive, call it insane;
but when I'm surrounded I just can't stop.

I enjoy listening to some of Rush's early stuff like A Farewell To Kings,
2112, and Fly By Night, but gave up on them eventually, so yeah I'd say revoke their Citizenship.

Seems to me that most or alot of the people that become wealthy from sports music and the like move to America. The members of Rush probably live here in America and have a US citizenship?

I am sure that Canada is a nice place. Maybe Rush still lives there?

Some move there because their JOB is there, others like the warmer winters, others like the lower taxe rate.

Most? uh, no.

Well, congrats, Darv. You've managed to persuade me to come out of hybernation and post something for the first time in months. I just couldn't sit by and let my favorite band get slagged and not say anything.

Anyone who has ever called themselves a Rush fan, and hasn't listened to Vapor Trails, their 2002 album, is really doing themselves a disservice. Their sound is raw and edgy, with no synthesizers in sight, and Ged's bass never sounded better. By the by, they're currently writing and recording songs for a new studio album.

And Gambit: while Rush has always been based in Toronto, Neil Peart did live in California for awhile. Actually, for a long while, he lived all over North America.
