Actually, to be precise he arrived over here from Wales. 😳 But a Celt is a Celt, and always welcome (with the possible exception of HuckleberryHound)! And he became one of the most representative and famous of (honorary) Irish men!

He's still a legend today! Good old Saint Patrick!
