In Germany licence plates are created by giving the city in which the car is registerd, one or two letters and a number.

So S - EX is very mich sought after. As is S - AU (think sow)

A women at my company had a Z with plate ZGASM.

35 years on I still remember a Johnny Carson TV show moment. He held up a license plate that looked like

OO

and said, "Dolly Parton."

Then he held up another license plate that looked like

OO OO OO

and said, "Charlie's Angels."
