I think Krakauer (sp?) does a better job of reading Chris Chandless' (name?) life and state of mind than can be interpreted solely in the way the movie was done.
Has anyone ever read this book or seen this movie?
What do you think?
Can't go wrong with either though.

Also, so much of it focuses on interviews with others, and second-hand accounts of what might have happened. It seems like they had very little material to work with and desperately tried to stretch it out into a full-length novel. It might have been a fascinating story if you actually knew what was going though the kid's mind. Really though, I just wanted to strangle him (and the author) for wasting my time.

This made me laugh.

That made me cry. bored to tears.

Maybe he was foolish to think he could survive...aren't we all foolish? None of us will survive our lives.

I think "PWNED" might have been a good title. Maybe with a picture of a frozen corpse on the cover.

But, hey, at least it was better than the TV movie adaptation of Krakauer's Into Thin Air (starring Peter Horton and Christopher McDonald), which was just absolutely atrocious.
