Want to buy a new speaker set.
Need to be
1. Portable.
2. Battery powered.
3. Not really prepared to go above £100.

Currently looking at the

1. J10 iBoom (maybe a bit big)
2. Saitek A200

Any others ppl have or anyone got either of the above.

I never understood the need for portable speakers for mp3 players. Can someone explain it to me?

So you, yes you can finally be the douche bag that walks around blaring loud, obnoxious rap music!!!! Exciting possibility huh?

I picked this up recently:

Great sound. Compact. Highly recommended.

Yeah I agree, I have one already but it is not battery powered.
Can't beleive how loud it goes for such a dinky little thing.

I also had the JBL on tour, but went back to Zim recently and my mate wanted it so I sold it to him, hence the reason I need another.

Tempted to just buy another on tour but I am sure there is something better out there.

So far I have found
1. Saitek A200.
2. iBOOM.
3. Logitech mm50.

Leaning towards the A200.

For those interested....

Eventually went with the Saitek A200.
Very good sound, better than the JBL on tour by some way and almost as good as the JBL on stage.
