Thinking of getting it. Can anyone recommend a reliable one? I have couple to trial, but a good rec would help.

I didn't un-abbreviate because it would stand to logical reason that if you don't know what it means, you don't have it and therefor can't recommend one...but let me help you. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=IPTV

My son has Hulu and Roku, but misses live tv, they only seemingly do reruns.

We have Netflix and our internet speed is 20 meg/sec and they say they only need 6 or so but I can tell you we can't watch a netfflix show without pauses, sometimes total loss of signal. The weird thing is I have a bluray box that has Netflix on it and it seems much better than the one through my Dish network Joey, as far as drop outs go. Yet they both hook to our house WIFI. Go figure. I call Dish, it's Netlix fault, I call Netflix its my IP's fault, nobody wants to actually answer why I get so many drop outs only on Netflix.

With the IPTV i've seen so far, i'd get 3000 channels for €7 a month. My basic TV and netflix are about €30 a month. Also you get the sports and Movie channels. Seems like a win. KODI box here i come.

That's about the same price as Hulu and netflix. But no live shows?

For instance, I am a tennis fan and am watching the US open but it is for now only on ESPN, the tennis channel seems to be cut out of live stuff. Can you get stuff like that?

Sounds horrendous. No chess channel? I'd rather read a book.

Lol. The question there is WHY would there be 200 tennis channels? I wonder if there is a chess channel or a folk music channel?

More depends on the local service provider than the black box.

Get a high-definition screen/monitor. You will want/need a broadband link, preferably 100 Mbits/s optic fibre to the door, if you can get it.

Be prepared for "57 channels and nuthin' on" as Springsteen sang. Only now, it'll be 2,000 channels and nuthin on.
