one one, you lose! it may be half time (nearly) but i haven't been watching (honest) so my complete guess is 2-1 iran.

I saw Iran play in a friendly against Greece (or somewhere like that) but they played exceptionally well, with some great attacking play.

Well it was a damn fine first half; most exciting of the tournament. Both teams had good oppertunities, and I can well see this turning into a 2-2 draw. Good on Iran, but although they have done well against Mexico so far, they shouldn't expect to cause any major upsets; e.g. against Portugal.

Dang, Freddie, I'm actually hoping you're right.

In Iran's goal, did the ball cross the line for a goal kick when the iranian player curled it from the corner kick?

It didn't look like it from the side on angle.

edit: Mexico's goal was really well worked; down to the smallest detail, I really enjoy good set pieces.

Thanks, I didn't see the replays and it seemed like it when I saw it live.

Post from Palynka in the 'World cup upset' thread: -

Tyne: 'gutted - mexico 1'

Palynka: 'Did the ball go out when the guy kicked the corner for the goal? If not, it was close!'

😕

I was pointing out that you said that in relation to the Mexico goal as well. If you'll look closely, you'll see a couple of these ' ' around what I quoted you as saying.
