Is it bad manners to suggest to an opponent who is in a really bad position that they resign so that the players can start new games?

if you have such good position surely you should be able to end the game quickly?
Originally posted by Pawn SmasherOf course it is bad manners, but the key is to make them think it is their idea. It's like the stock market sometimes you have to cut your losses to make a better trade. Take one loss to win three, in the same amount of time. Know when to hold um know when to fold um. Actually though I truly believe that too many games are retired too soon. Simply because if you don't take your games to mate, you can get rusty on end game skills.
