is it o.k. if i get about 10 of my friends and share my user-name in the forums? i know this is wrong in playing chess, but maybe it is different taking part in these forums. i've never done this, but just wanted to check up on the legalities.

i wouldn't want to do that, but it could serve many different purposes.

No,it's not permitted.
Just tell'em to create their own usernames from their own pcs and they will use the forums as much as they want.

And the reason why is if your 10 friends screw around you will get in trouble for it... and we don't want to hear your excusses how 10 other guys use your name.

it could even be like a group discussion where collectively a group comes up with questions and answers that beat most else.

I think you should be allowed.

For one if they sign up with different user ID's but using your PC to post, you will be moderated under Section 3(a) "The Red Hot Pawn administration team have identified a single person using multiple accounts."

And every time one of the 10 wanted to post something, you will have to log out, log them in with their user ID's then post, log out, log in, post, log out, log in, post, lo…

Nope. Not very practical.

But can't they just tell you what they wanted to post and you can type it in? Or can't you just swap seats and let them post?

If they do, then it might be wise to let them sign their initials under each of their posts.

on the plus side they do make the English language work well when we talk about them!

obviously there would be many cases where it could be used.

1) a married couple could be enjoying taking part in these forums together and i don't really see too much wrong in that.

2) it could be used as a form of fun for a group of friends... if they were to sign their initials as you suggested Mr. Peach then i don't see a problem with that. (if it is a group of P-heads then i would suggest giving it up and start drinking fanta - a real man's drink)

3) it could also be used in a bad way by those on a mission. i.e. people heavily obsessed on religious missions, out to target indivduals or what have you.

Edit: i ain't a mod... just putting this forward.
