You need to ring your ISP and request that MAC code (as far as I know) ...
Good luck

Why do you want to change

(I've gone from BT to TalkTalk and regret the day I signed this contract ... Helpline is £0.50 a minute, all p2p software is blocked throughout the day and if you ever ring them on their normal free line you're in for at least a 45 minute wait !!)

Good luck

Yup, the only way you can get it is from your old ISP.

In most cases, when you ask for it they'll put you through to a crappy customer care department that will try they're hardest to bribe you into staying.

exactly. AOL have control over my PC. I hate them. I'm moving over to a cheaper ISP. I'm paying £30 per month with AOL and can get the same deal plus free line rental with Toucan for quite a bit less

Yup, AOL do suck the big one as far as ISP's go!

Toucan are alright as far as I know. Never heard of any horror stories with them. Make sure you actually read the TOS before signing the contract though, as most of the smaller ISP's have clauses in them like the stuff TSP listed (limited access at certain times, etc.)
