And unlike Europe, where kids get 6 or 8 weeks holiday, or the US (dunno what they get), Japanese kids couldn't live without clubs, activities, etc... So they go to school during the holidays...

I live closeby the British School in the Netherlands, up here in The Hague. I believe they have different hours attending the school compared to Dutch schools. They leave school at much later hours than the cloggy children. And they even have black and blue school outfits. My guess is they follow a general British rule.

In the US they get a 10 or 11 week break in the summer.
