Since I subscribed.

Now the payment is due. I know as my account number changed over the months and I received a "Failed bill" email.

Now I would have liked to be asked first if I would wanted to extend my subscription to another year rather than just suck the money out of my account.

Would I have been notified if it went in OK? Should I subscribe again..? It was one of the best things that I did, and one of the worst as well.

Is it time that I finish off all my games and disappear from the Forums for good? I can always have my non-sub 6 games and pop in here and spam the forums like everybody else..

What are your thoughts?

That you're rather silly for complaining about being billed annually for an annual subscription.

I think its a valid point I'm not sure if I will want to resub. But I paid with paypal so I think I would get a message asking for the money from my acount rather then it just getting removed. Its a long way off at the moment so I don't really need to think it about it. I can see how if your situation changes you might have more demands on your time and not need more then six games.

All I am asking, is an email enquiring if I wished for renewal, not just help themselves to the subscription fee without my knowledge.

Its not much to ask, is it?

Hi Peachy...usually you get an email informing you that you will be billed shortly..I think that gives you time to contact Russ or whoever to cancel if you wish.
I hope you do subscribe again. I enjoy our games, chats and your forum posts

You could put this in the site ideas as well or even suggest under one of the settings tabs there is a "receive a email reminder about sub ending and payment for next year".

The companies I really dislike are the sneaky gits who offer you a free trial for a month and hope you forget to cancel it in time, whereupon they swoop on your bank and snatch the money out ...!

Hey wucks!

I had a look and good ol' hotmail filtered that email to my junk box! I only got the notification for a "Possible Service Interruption" in my Inbox.

So fair point to that..

I enjoy them too and this site is great for that, but... shouldn't I be quitting the habit.. It is damn addictive, and I know I could have solved the Middle East crises if it wasn't for the time spent in here! or... almost... 😉

Cheers for your kind post, will spend couple of more hours contemplating...

Even if you just intend to stick to your 6 games and post in the forums, it would be nice if you still supported the site by subscribing.

Nope, it would be quite easy to set up an automatic e-mail system that mails you just before your subscription ran out... but that's not what I was getting at!

Thanks. I know I thought Mr. T dancing is more impressive then me on a trials bike. I thought I might try and learn the dance so I can impress people.

If someones topsy-turvey life is that damn hectic then why bother signing up for an annual subscription?! A monthly one is far more better suited.

Anyhoo, are you saying that the Monthly subscribers should get e-mail notifications too? Or is it just the Annual subscribers that don't read the TOC's and can't keep track of thier finances that should get them?

I just got my notification, four days before the billing. I changed my card number right away (the card I used when I subscribed has expired). I am far too addicted to stop subscribing.

Now can anyone tell me what: "Next Billing Date: 20070411" mean? 20th of July of the year 411..?

Que?

EDIT: I see now.. that was written the Arabic way.. from right to left..

11th of April 2007..
