It's just a ride (part 5)

I said i wasn't going to post these songs, but i think i did ok with this video. It's a nice way to end the year, and compared to my first song of the year it shows just how i've improved.

Back story to the video....I got myself on a slot in a big youtubers video and home page where he guaranteed 4000 view. I made the second in this series for that purpose. Since then i got to friend one of the other guys who got a similar slot from the youtuber, and we agreed to make a video together...this is what i came up with. The guy sent me two hours of video with him making a balloon sculpture, and 10 minutes of him and his friend eating icecream while watching pinky and the brain. I sent him the music first with the idea for lyrics already in my head. when i got the footage i re-recorded the song with the lyrics and extended the song to fit him talking the piece he orated (just what he wanted to say, no prompting).

I think it's quite a nice piece.

Thanks guys. My only regeret is that i sped the footage up after the speech, i think it would've cranked up the poignancy to warp factor 10 if i had just let him go at normal speed.

When i first saw i was getting balloon making footage i wondered how in the hell i was going to use it. I in no was want to belittle the guy, who i consider a decent chap, and i fully appreciate that he took the trouble to record and upload so much footage for me to use. Most importantly...he liked it, and posted it up on facebook for all his friends to see while telling me i ROCKED! That can't be bad.

In the new year i plan to make more of these type of videos (collaborations i mean), and plan to make another collab with tperusic...maybe a more upbeat one.
