As for now South Americans lead 9:8 against Europe by number of cups won.
But more interesting is the fact that never before there was advantage for any continent by margin of two cups.

Uruguay 1:0
then twice Italy 1:2
again Uruguay 2:2
Germany 2:3
Brasil twice 4:3
England 4:4
again Brasil 5:4
Germany 5:5
Argentina 6:5
Italy 6:6
Argentina 7:6
Germany 7:7
Brasil 8:7
France 8:8
Brasil 9:8

So in order to continue the tradition now it's turn of European country to win!!!
Moreover, I think that only once when Cup was held in Europe it wasn't European country that won.

Hah - you see?
I was right - still I didn't think that both Argentina and Brasil will say bye bye in quarters

Only happened because of France's cheating against Spain and Germany's cheating against Argentina.๐Ÿ˜ž It's getting ridiculous now!

It's billed as the world football championship to pull in the punters, but really it's the world cheating championship, that's why England are always gallant losers on penalties and go home with the fair play (ie worst at cheating) award

You forgot to mention England's lucky goal against Ecuador, Italy's illegal penalty against Australia and and the fact that Ghana and Mexico would probably have done much better than Argentina and Brazil...

True, but Italy were robbed of a player for no good reason.
