I think it is really quite good... easy to use and a great way to store/access your music.

If only it handled vinly as easy as it does Cd's though!

itunes is the only way to manage my ipod, so i don't have much of a choice. but i don't mind it however it freezes sometimes. and i don't like how i can't transfer songs from my ipod to my computer 😠

ditto on the ipod. I like itunes fine, seems to work pretty well. It does crash now and then but not habitually.

Why would you need to transfer songs from your ipod to your computer? Didn't you transfer the song from the computer in the first place?

yeah but my computer has only about 4GBs worth of memory and I'm a habitual formatter as well as a habitual mix CD maker.

I always find myself re-ripping the discs when I wish I could burn the playlist right off my ipod. but i guess for piracy reasons, they've made this impossible. it really burns me up inside.

no iPod here.... yet 😉 have they solved the battery problem - or was that just a myth?

It (iTunes) has crashed a couple of times when importing tracks, other than that is fine, and I am finding some forgotten gems in amongst my CD collection.

Some of the categories it assigns are odd, but I guess that can be corrected easily.

So does Kazaa totally suck now? I used to use it but I feel guilty. You all like itunes, eh? I am assuming it works basically the same, right?

no, they are completely different. kazaa is used to download tunes while itunes is a music manager and cd-ripper.

regardless, kazaa totally sucks 😉

uh, my battery sucks. i know that much.

this is also my second one. apple had to replace mine because the menu and play buttons died on me about 6 months after i bought it.

i still love it though and it is my favourite toy. i used to carry around one of those 24-cd books and my discman with me everywhere for a decade. i would never go back to those days!

I even stopped carrying my minidisc I found it to be too much hassle to lug around... iPod will happen in 2005 I think, so long as they sort battery problems for good.

the only reason i use iTunes is because using it means that i can listen to other peoples music over it on my halls network. although there is a rip for it kicking about somewhere which is a bit irratating...
