No, I acutally considered giving it up. I decided I like it far too much to quit totally.

Okay... but why swear off and quit anything you

actually enjoy? Isn't moderation the key?

That's the same conclusion I came to.
I notice as I get older, I like the high from drinking more, but I suffer more in the morning, even after just a couple of beers.

Each and every one of us has a different spectrum of lusts in our natures... chemical lust, power lust, lascivious lust, approval lust,

acquisition lust, the list goes on, etc. All of the manifestations are little more than compensatory behavior... trick is to recognize and

deal with whatever the real frustrated emotion or unmet need or unsatisfied appetite it is that we're clumsily compensating for...

One guy's informed view from around the block for what it's worth.

After drinking Rum151/Gin & Vodka for 3 years, I noticed that my health & conditioning started to suffer. Next, I'm told I can't fight until my Lipid profile (cholesterol) comes down to WNL (within normal limits). One week later, I became a born again straight edger! Only took about 3 days before I started feeling better. Every once in awhile, I crave a few shots at night but, I've been surviving... BARELY!!! πŸ™

Moral of the story & my advice: DONT QUIT!!!!

well bobby, why don't you go off and deal with whatever unmet need or unsatisfied appetite it is that makes you clutter up GF with your crap? obviously this appetite is strong enough to bring you back here even when you've drawn your lines in the sand, trudged off on what you think is the high road, expressed your lack of appreciation for the coin of the realm, and said you were leaving god only knows how many times. obviously, saying one thing and doing another is not a problem for you.
