But MLB teams go to Japan all the time to play teams over there. How can MLB allow equipment that is not regulation?

Please understand that I don't watch MLB and couldn't care less about it. It irritates me no end that the playoffs and the WS come right in the middle of NFL season and pre-empt NFL games. But this question about Japanese baseballs caught my attention.

Get over it. Major league baseball was around long before they invented the NFL.
